PokeBonk Season 2 (Oct 21 – Nov 4, 2026): New Maps, Fusions & Lavender Tower
Updated · Game version checked: PokéBonk 0.8.10 (Season 2) · From the developer's official Season 2 news and patch notes
PokeBonk Season 2 started on October 21, 2026 at 16:30 UTC and ends on November 4, 2026 at 17:30 UTC (18:30 Spanish time both days). It lasts 15 days and adds two maps (Storm Coast with Zapdos, Celestial Glacier with Articuno), 12 new guardians, 106 move fusions, 24 items, 5 vitamins, 3 altars, 41 achievements and the Halloween event "The Night of Lavender Tower".
| Time zone | Season 2 start | Season 2 end |
|---|---|---|
| UTC | Oct 21, 16:30 | Nov 4, 17:30 |
| US Eastern | Oct 21, 12:30 PM EDT | Nov 4, 12:30 PM EST |
| US Pacific | Oct 21, 9:30 AM PDT | Nov 4, 9:30 AM PST |
| UK | Oct 21, 5:30 PM BST | Nov 4, 5:30 PM GMT |
| China / Philippines (UTC+8) | Oct 22, 00:30 | Nov 5, 01:30 |
The end time moves by an hour in local clocks because daylight saving ends between the two dates. The Halloween event has the same start and end.
New map: Storm Coast (Zapdos)
Sea, coves, islets and beaches. Unlocks when you complete Rocky Desert. The tide rises roughly every minute and a half and floods the beaches, leaving pearls in the sand when it goes out. Sometimes a waterspout crosses the map and pulls in wild Pokémon — and you; when you land, you hit the whole horde.
| Guardian | Mechanic | How to beat it |
|---|---|---|
| Kingler | Pincer guard | Hit it from behind |
| Electrode | Minefield | Lure it onto its own mines |
| Gyarados | Whirlpool and Hyper Beam | After the beam it recharges and takes more damage |
| Tentacruel | Tentacle forest | Break the tentacles |
| Starmie | Rapid Spin | It bounces like a pinball; attack when it gets dizzy |
| Electabuzz | Electric cage | Find the gap to get out |
Zapdos (Thunder Cape shrine): its lightning seeks the lightning rods if you stand next to one. With three charges they discharge and knock Zapdos down, leaving it very exposed. In its final phases it electrifies the tide and traps you in the eye of the storm.
New map: Celestial Glacier (Articuno)
Snow, frosty cliffs and frozen lakes you slide across. Unlocks when you complete Storm Coast. Blizzards white out the screen and push you around; shelter behind cliffs, because standing still in the open covers you in frost. Ice-type Pokémon arrive with the blizzard. On ice you build momentum, drift and slide further downhill.
| Guardian | Mechanic / tip |
|---|---|
| Dewgong | Ice sled |
| Hypno | Hypnotic pendulum |
| Cloyster | Shell: barely takes damage when closed, almost double when open |
| Jynx | Lovely Kiss and Sing — while infatuated your controls are reversed |
| Lapras | Ice floes — hide behind its ice |
| Alakazam | Future Sight — your own trail explodes |
Articuno (Sky Lake shrine): the lake cracks open into holes, Articuno shields itself with a crystal shell (break the lake's crystals to strip it), and fires an Ice Beam that bounces off the pillars. Stand behind a pillar so it freezes itself with its own beam — once it falls frozen it takes much more damage. Watch out for Sheer Cold, which sweeps the arena sector by sector.
Move fusions at Bill's Machine
Max out two moves, then fuse them at Bill's Machine (one per map; one per land in Survival). The fused move takes the first move's slot and frees the second slot for a new move. A fusion inherits both moves' upgrades and keeps leveling from ★1 to ★5 (★6 with the TM Case item). Weather moves, boosters and existing fusions can't be fused. Each machine fuses once, then cools down.
- 79 signature fusions, one per League Pokémon, from two moves of its kit — the strongest kind. Examples: Pikachu's Ball Storm (Electro Ball + Thunder), Charmander's Fiery Whirlwind (Fire Spin + Flamethrower), Bulbasaur's Flower Beam (Razor Leaf + Solar Beam), Squirtle's Hydro Spiral (Rapid Spin + Hydro Pump) and Clefairy's Gravitational Moon (Gravity + Moonblast).
- 8 reaction fusions: one move from each side of an elemental reaction, e.g. Water + Electric triggers Electrocuted, Fire + Water triggers Steam.
- 18 type fusions from two moves of the same type.
- MissingNo.: any other pair. Each cast becomes a random type fusion surrounded by corrupted blocks.
New combat mechanics
- Mega crit: crit chance above 100% becomes mega-crit chance (up to 200%). A mega crit adds half your crit bonus again: a ×1.75 crit becomes ×2.31, and ×2.55 becomes ×4.5. Shown as a bigger pink number with "!!".
- Ground slam (dive): press slide in the air (Shift) more than 1.2 m above the ground. You hit everything around you with your first type's damage; a flat jump does ×1.5, from a plateau up to ×3 with double radius. One slam every 2 s.
- TM power-ups on the map: Swords Dance (×1.5 damage, 10 s), Agility (×1.35 speed and ×1.3 attack speed, 10 s), Iron Defense (take 40% damage, 8 s), Thunder Wave (paralyzes all Pokémon within 40 m for 4 s), Pay Day (×2 ₽, 15 s).
- Pokémon Egg: one nest per map. Pick up the Egg with E; it hatches after 200 KOs in zone 1 (+100 per later zone) into a first-stage Pokémon of that biome that fights as a support Alpha.
New items, vitamins and altars
All 24 new items are unlocked in the Lab with Stardust (rarity and max copies in brackets). Highlights:
- Poké Flute (Legendary, 1): Ultimate charges 25% faster; casting it recharges all moves and gives +30% attack speed for 6 s.
- TM Case (Legendary, 1): moves level up to 10.
- Silph Scope (Epic, 2): every 6 s marks the nearby enemy with the most HP; it takes +40% from everything. Good against bosses.
- Thick Bone (Epic, 2): +1% physical damage per 2 armor, up to +50%.
- Bicycle (Rare, 2): +6% speed, and +1% damage for every 2% extra speed, up to +35%.
- Metal Powder (Uncommon, 3): stand still briefly for +30% armor and +8% attack speed.
- Old Rod (Uncommon, 3): every 9 s a Magikarp splashes up under a nearby enemy; sometimes a Gyarados.
- S.S. Ticket (Epic, 1): +1 support Alpha slot. Lemonade (Uncommon, 3): support Alphas +25% damage, +15% attack speed per copy.
New vitamins (26 in total) include Enigma Berry (overflow healing becomes golden HP) and Super Lure (+18% elite chance and +5% damage to elites and bosses per level). New altars: Fossil Ruins (trade max HP for 2 Epic+ items, a boosted Legendary blessing, or reviving Aerodactyl as a support Alpha), Rhydon's Roar (Classic only: up to 3 roars per zone make the guardian stronger and drop an extra Great Ball each) and the Porygon Altar (swap one stat for another).
Lab changes: the 59 locked items no longer have requirements, every upgrade is 15% cheaper, and there are 5 new upgrades (Precision, Swiftness, Expansion, Harmony and a Big Bag that carries 3 Bag items instead of 2). Stardust rewards went up: per zone 40 → 60, per boss 35 → 60, per win 150 → 300.
Halloween event: The Night of Lavender Tower
A separate mode with its own leaderboard, running for the whole season (until November 4, 17:30 UTC). Climb the Pokémon Tower in Lavender Town: three waves per floor, with the boss on the third.
- 7 hand-made floors: Entrance Hall, Hall of Tombstones, Hall of Mist, Snuffed Candles, Purified Zone, Marowak's Shadow and The Summit.
- Veiled ghosts are only revealed by the Silph Scope. Light candelabras to see and heal, play trick-or-treat at Gengar's tombstones, and hold out in the sacred circle.
- Ghost Marowak: calm it with the three memorial candles and a Cubone joins you.
- Gengar, lord of the Tower: uses Double Team, Blackout and Dream Eater.
- Gate to the Beyond: after the summit, endless floors with curses you choose. This decides the event leaderboard.
- Rewards: every run (in any mode) earns Candles for the 10-step Book of Candles — titles, Stardust, the Lavender Candle frame, avatars, Cubone and Gengar costumes, and a Spectral Look for any League member. There are 7 event achievements plus leaderboard and clan prizes.
Clans and time attack
- Clans now hold up to 200 members, with a clan board (chat), three weekly missions with three stars each, a weekly rivalry against a clan of your size, clan levels 1–30, streaks and clan records.
- Time attack now gives prizes: top 25 of each map and difficulty and top 50 of the Global board. #1 Global earns the title "Kanto Speedster". Normal medal times: Silver 24:00, Gold 18:00, Champion 13:30.
- Season 1 players received the Kanto Pioneer avatar and the PokéBonk Pioneer title in their mailbox.
What's next: Season 3 and co-op
The developer says Season 3 brings all of Generation 2, each Pokémon with its own moves. Mega Evolutions will not arrive before Gen 2, and the Mew and Moltres boss reworks are planned for a later season. A co-op beta with team leaderboards for duos, trios and teams of four was announced as possibly arriving the first weekend of Season 2; we will update this page when it is live.
Season 2 patch log
- Fixed some runs not saving after reconnecting.
- Players who beat Rocky Desert in Season 1 can now enter Storm Coast.
- Season 2 restarted from zero: leaderboards, clan points, rivalries, missions, streaks and clan records.
- Survival: after the first hour the horde never stops speeding up; speed above ×3 is less effective. Shed Shell slide: 0.35 s invulnerability, 0.8 s recharge.
- Four new in-run music tracks.
- Season 2 launch.
