PokeBonk Tier List (October 2026) – Best Pokémon & Starters

Updated · Game version checked: PokéBonk 0.8.10 (Season 2) · Editorial ranking, Season 2

Best starter: Squirtle or Bulbasaur for your first runs; Charmander is the riskiest. Best League picks by the community's data ranking: Machop, Krabby, Zapdos, Voltorb, Onix, Rattata, Mankey and Shellder.

How this list is made. This is an editorial ranking, not official data and not measured win rates. Starters are ranked from their passives as written in the game (version 0.8.10). The full League list follows the community "Kit Score" ranking published by poke-bonk.wiki, which scores each Pokémon's final-form kit damage, HP, armor and speed from the game's data; that site says the scores are not playtested. Items, vitamins, fusions and your level-up choices can change a run more than the pick itself. The developer says core mechanics will not change during Season 2 (Oct 21 – Nov 4, 2026), so this should hold until Season 3.

Starter tier list: Bulbasaur vs Charmander vs Squirtle

Every new trainer picks one of these three as their first partner. Their passives, as the game describes them:

Squirtle A · safest

Torrent Shell: +15 armor and +20 shield. Below 40% HP, +40% damage.

The only starter with both defense and a comeback bonus. Signature fusion (Season 2): Hydro Spiral = Rapid Spin + Hydro Pump.

Evolves into Wartortle and Blastoise during a run.

Bulbasaur A · sustain

Synthesis: +1.5 regen and +25% healing. Your Grass attacks heal you a little (0.4% of HP per hit, up to 5 times per second).

Forgiving for players who take chip damage. Signature fusion (Season 2): Flower Beam = Razor Leaf + Solar Beam.

Evolves into Ivysaur and Venusaur during a run.

Charmander C · risky

Blaze: Below 40% HP, +40% damage. +10% Fire damage.

No armor, shield or healing, so its bonus only pays off when you are already in danger. Signature fusion (Season 2): Fiery Whirlwind = Fire Spin + Flamethrower.

Evolves into Charmeleon and Charizard during a run.

Starter tiers: our editorial call from the passives above; poke-bonk.wiki's Kit Score agrees (Bulbasaur 52.2, Squirtle 51.2, Charmander 27.2).

PokeBonk League tier list (all 79 League Pokémon)

The 79 League Pokémon are the ones you can start a run with; evolved forms (like Charizard) share their line's tier. Order within a tier is by Kit Score, highest first.

Notes: Zapdos, Articuno, Moltres, Mew and Mewtwo are legendary League members. A low tier does not mean unplayable: a Pokémon's signature fusion (Season 2) and your items can carry it. To add a Pokémon to your League, finish its challenge and catch it in a run — see the beginner guide.

FAQ

What is the best starter in PokeBonk?

For a first run, Squirtle and Bulbasaur are the safest. Squirtle's Torrent Shell gives +15 armor and +20 shield; Bulbasaur's Synthesis gives +1.5 regen, +25% healing and lets Grass attacks heal you. Charmander's Blaze only adds damage (+40% below 40% HP, +10% Fire), so it is less forgiving.

What is the best Pokémon in PokeBonk?

Community data rankings put Machop at the top, followed by Krabby and Zapdos, based on each League Pokémon's kit damage, HP, armor and speed read from the game's data. These rankings are not playtested win rates; items and level-up choices still decide a run.
