Warhammer Survivors comes out on November 10, 2026 for $7.99 (£6.39 / €7.49) on Steam, GOG, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 1 and 2, iOS and Android. It is an official, single-player pixel-art bullet heaven from Auroch Digital (Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun), made with poncle, the Vampire Survivors studio. You pick one of 40+ champions from Warhammer 40,000 or Age of Sigmar and survive waves of Tyranids, Skaven, Orks and more. A free demo is on Steam now.

How it plays
- Vampire Survivors formula: pick a champion, move, and let your weapons fire; collect and evolve weapons with power-ups into stronger forms (for example the Boltgun into the Heavy Bolter, or the Whirlwind Battery into Orbital Bombardment).
- Two universes, kept apart: Warhammer 40,000 and Age of Sigmar each have their own roster, weapons, enemies and stages. A few weapons, such as the D6 Dice and Nuln Oil, are shared across both.
- Meta-progression: you collect gold to grow stronger for future runs; Warhammer paint pots found on the battlefield unlock new character forms and secrets. After demo feedback, upgrades in one universe have a slight effect on the other.
- Keywords and squads: every character and weapon has keywords. If you pick up a weapon your champion cannot use, an ally who can joins you as a follower; followers cannot take damage or collect items.
- Not every weapon auto-aims: by design some weapons aim themselves and others do not, and the developer said in July 2026 it is not planning to change that.

Each enemy faction has its own Extremis Boss, according to the developer. Only Ghazghkull and the Great Unclean One have been named as Extremis Bosses so far.
Stages revealed
- First demo: defend an Imperial Bastion from Tyranids (40K) and fight Skaven across The Great Parch (Age of Sigmar).
- Ork Stronghold (40K, Orks).
- Gallowdark (40K): a derelict space hulk full of Death Guard.
- Hammerhal (Age of Sigmar): Skaven on one side, Blades of Khorne on the other; the Stormrift Realmgate switches you between them.
- The Hobby Table (both universes): fight mixed factions among paint pots and cutting mats.
The stage for the Gloomspite Gitz, and the full stage list, have not been announced.
Pick-ups and status effects
- 40K pick-ups: Melta-bomb (delayed thermal blast), Blast Template (clears the screen; some enemies resist insta-kills), Hellfire Ammo (ranged damage up, applies Poisoned).
- Age of Sigmar pick-ups: Purple Sun of Shyish (can hurt you too), Ravenak's Gnashing Jaws (a biting pet that burns), Suffocating Gravetide (stuns, then makes enemies flee).
- Status effects: Burning (damage over time, but enemies move faster), Poisoned (damage over time, slows), Oiled from Nuln Oil (slows and boosts fire damage), Stunned, Frenzied / Berserk, Healing, Warded.
What is still unannounced
- The exact launch time and the full character, weapon and stage lists.
- Mobile price and whether the mobile version has ads or in-app purchases.
- Any post-launch roadmap, DLC or multiplayer plans.
- GOG pre-orders and the launch discount on each platform beyond Steam (10% in launch week) and PlayStation Plus (10% on pre-order).

Is Warhammer Survivors a Vampire Survivors DLC?
No. It is a standalone game built on Vampire Survivors' foundation in partnership with poncle, but every character, stage, enemy, power-up and secret was made from scratch.
Is there a Warhammer Survivors demo?
Yes. A new demo has been out since October 6, 2026 on Steam (and Xbox on PC, per Warhammer Community) with Malum Caedo, Trooper Kozlowski, the Legend of Catachan, Neave Blacktalon, Ulgromthier and Lyssa Revenya. Demo progress does not carry over to the full game.
