This is not a tier list: nobody outside the studio has played the full game yet. We list only what Auroch Digital, the Steam page and PlayStation.Blog have stated. Unlock conditions have not been published for any champion.

• Malum Caedo

  Ultramarines Sternguard Veteran, hero of Auroch's Boltgun games

  Signature weapon Chainsword

  Horizontal serrated attacks that hit several enemies at once. In both demos.

• Trooper Kozlowski

  Cadian Shock Trooper, Astra Militarum

  Signature weapon Lasgun

  Fires at the nearest enemy; as it levels up, Cadian squadmates join and add fire. In the current demo.

• Brother Luca

  Ultramarines Intercessor, created for this game

How champions and weapons interact

• Every character, weapon and some items have keywords. Some weapons are locked to one champion, such as Calgar's Gauntlets of Ultramar or Gotrek's Zangrom-Thaz.
• Pick up a weapon your champion's keywords do not allow and an ally joins as a follower to use it. Followers cannot take damage or collect items, and several can squad up at once.
• Combos the developer has highlighted: Lorai + Bastian Carthalos (fog pulls enemies into his close-range zones) and the Castellan + Trooper Kozlowski (each Cadian squadmate counts towards the Castellan's damage).
• Each champion has unique weapons and starting stats; paint pots found in runs unlock new character forms.

• Starting weapons for Commissar Yarrick and the Castellan, and Pask's exact weapon.
• Characters glimpsed in key art or trailers but not named by the developer are not listed here.
