Megabonk has 78 items in four rarities: 21 Common, 21 Uncommon, 18 Rare and 18 Legendary. 35 are available from your first run; the rest unlock by finishing a quest, and a few then cost Silver. Items are passive: they stack on top of your weapons and tomes for the rest of the run.

Names, rarity, unlock quests and Silver costs are from the Megabonk Fandom item table (last edited January 16, 2026). Effect values are checked against the developer's patch notes up to v1.0.69 and say so when a patch changed them.

  • Moldy Cheese

    +40% chance to poison enemies on hit. Moldy Cheese my beloved <3.

    +7.5% chance to freeze enemies upon hitting them.

    Increase Difficulty by +7%.

    Using an interactable summons ghosts.

    Unlock Survive the Final Swarm for 60 seconds · 7 Silver

  • Cactus

    Shoots out spikes upon taking damage. Damage scales with Thorns.

    Upon taking damage, send out an electric shock to nearby enemies.

    Charging a Charge Shrine will turn it into a healing zone. Also spawn +2 extra Charge Shrine for future stages.

    Increase Max HP by +0,5 per kill (Max 200 stacks).

  • Echo Shard

    +12% chance to spawn an extra XP shard when killing an enemy.

    Unlock Upgrade XP Tome to Level 8

  • Moldy Gloves

    Creates a moldy poison cloud upon hittin an enemy. the gloves are covered in a moist, moldy and slimy texture.

    Unlock Use a Microwave to duplicate Moldy Cheese 3 times in a row

  • Golden Sneakers

    Earn money by moving around.

    Unlock Break 150 pots · 9 Silver

  • Idle Juice

    The longer you stand still, the more damage you do. Max +100% damage.

    Unlock Kill 500 enemies while standing still · 10 Silver

  • Leeching Crystal

    +50 Max HP at the cost of -50%HP Regen.

    Unlock Upgrade Regen Tome to lvl 8

  • Kevin

    Kevin may punch you when you hit an enemy. Moved up to the Epic (purple) rarity in v1.0.49.

    Increase damage by +20% per 100 max HP.

    Deal 50% more Damage while airborne.

    Cast blood magic upon hitting an enemy, damaging nearby enemies and healing you for 7.5%. 9s cooldown.

    Reflect any incoming damage back to the attacker, and gain a short invulnerability.

  • Turbo Skates

    The faster you move, the more Attack Speed you gain. Max 40% per stack.

  • Slutty Cannon

    20% chance to spawn missiles upon killing an enemy.

    Unlock Kill 5,000 enemies with Slutty Rocket

  • Shattered Knowledge

    XP shards now slice through enemies, dealing damage as they pass. Knowledge really hurts.

  • Quin's Mask

    Thorns damage has a 50% chance to explode.

  • Toxic Barrel

    Releases a toxic waste upon taking damage, poisoning all nearby enemies.

    Unlock Kill 2,000 enemies using Poison damage

  • Gas Mask

    Gain Armor and Overheal for every enemy infected with poison.

  • Gamer Goggles

    Increased Damage the lower your HP.

  • Eagle Claw

    66% Damage vs airborne enemies, 8% chance to launch them into the air.

  • Demonic Soul

    Increase Damage by 0,1% per kill (max 100%).

    Unlock Reach level 30 as Calcium · 12 Silver

  • Bob (Dead)

    For every 14 units moved, summon Bob (he's dead).

    Unlock Survive the final swarm for 2 minutes · 12 Silver

  • Grandma's Secret Tonic

    Crits have a 50%chance to explode and damage nearby enemies for 50% damage.

    Unlock Kill 3,000 enemies with Sniper Rifle

  • Cursed grabbies

    +10% difficulty, 0.8x Max HP. 5% to cast cursed magic upon hitting an enemy, damaging nearby enemies.

    +1 chance to proc on hit effects.

    Upon taking damage that would kill you, freeze time. Breaks after one use.

    2% chance to BONK an enemy, dealing 20x damage.

    Attacks have a 25% chance to explode, dealing 65% Damage to surrounding enemies.

    20% chance to inflict ice damage when hitting enemies. Ice can now freeze enemies.

    You can eat so much spaghetti with this bad boi. Also crits have a chance to become Megacrits.

    8% chance upon hitting an enemy to create a giant blast, damaging and knocking away enemies.

  • Lightning Orb

    25% chance to summon lightning when hitting enemies. Lightning can now stun enemies.

  • Chonkplate

    Healing above Max HP allows you to Overheal by 75%. Also gives 20% Lifesteal.

  • Dragonfire

    15% chance to summon dragonfire when hitting enemies. Fire damage can now apply burn.

  • Sucky Magnet

    Periodically drag in all XP around you.

  • Holy Book

    100 Max HP, 50 HP Regen. Healing will now radiate damage to nearby enemies.

  • Speed Boi

    Upon taking damage below 50% Max HP, slow down time and deal 2x damage.

    Shoot energy orbs at enemies.

  • Anvil

    Weapon Upgrades can now have +1 stats.

    killing an enemy summons 2 homing souls.

    1% chance to execute an enemy. Performing Execute increases Damage by 1%.

  • Bloody Cleaver

    Lifesteal now activates Bloodmark stacks. Also adds 50% chance to apply Bloodmark.

How do you unlock Joe's Dagger?

Kill 10,000 enemies using the Dexecutioner. Joe's Dagger is Legendary: a 1% chance to execute an enemy, and each execute increases Damage by 1%.

What does Kevin do in Megabonk?

Kevin may punch you when you hit an enemy. It is unlocked by getting 3 Leeching Crystals in one run, and v1.0.49 moved it up to the Epic (purple) rarity.

How do you get items during a run?

Mostly from chests (which cost gold, and a Key gives a chance to open them free), Moa statues and merchants. Luck improves the chance of rarer offers.
